 REGULATION

General regulations:

1. Before entering the library, please put your personal belongings into the cabinet at the library’s entrance.
2. Please set your mobile phone in vibrate or silent mode and do not talk on the phone inside the library
3. Do not smoke, eat and make noise inside the library.
3. Do not make any cutting or tearing on library’s materials while they are in your care.
4. Library opens freely to the public, children under 10 years old are not allowed to enter the library without an accompanying adult, parent or guardian.

Rules of using DVD Room:

We offer the DVD room service where the library members can enjoy watching the collection of our DVDs. (The DVD rental is not in the service.)

◆ How to use

1. Please select (a) DVD(s) (two discs or sets at most in one time) from shelves and bring them with your library member card to the counter.
2. After depositing your belongings and member card to the counter, our librarian will hand you the set of materials: DVD(s), headphone(s), TV and DVD Player remotes, DVD service card, DVD room guidance.
3. The maximum hour of the usage is up to 3 hours. In case of vacancy, you can extend the hours to use.
4. Up to three members can enjoy watching a DVD together in a same booth. In case you would like to watch a DVD in a group, let a representative of the group apply for the service.
5. Watching personal visual-audios bringing from outside, sleeping at the booth are strictly prohibited.
6. After watching a DVD, please return the set of materials to the counter.

Borrowing library’s materials:

1. To borrow materials of the library, you are requested to register for library membership card. Show up this card to librarian each time borrowing materials. Lending the library membership card is prohibited. Please inform the librarian immediately in case of losing this card.
2. Number of materials to borrow:
- Each member are allowed to borrow up to two magazines and two non-magazine materials (except for the materials are marked as use inside the library only as follow)
- DVDs-CDs, Mangas, the two latest issued magazines and books with red (or orange) stamp on its spine are not allowed for lending (use inside the library only).
3. Time of borrowing:
- Borrowing time for each material is up to maximum two weeks and another one week of extension if the material is not reserved.
- Member can extend the lending period to one more week by telephoning the librarian (Tel. 04-39447419 ext. 127 or 118) before the expired date. Pass this date, the extension will not be valid, and payment for the time of late returning materials will be applied following the article #4. Each time of borrowing materials is allowed one time of extension.

4. If member does not return materials without informing librarian on time, he/she will have to pay 1,000VND/material/day late. In case member does not comeback to pay and return materials within the next two weeks after the due date their membership card will be cancel and they will not have the right to collect the deposit.

5. Case of loss or damage to the borrowed materials:
- If member causes any damage or loss to the borrowed materials, he/she will have to compensate the equivalence of their original price within one month.
- Member should carefully check materials before borrowing. If any damages found, please inform the librarian immediately.

6. Be respectful to the copyright. The Center is not liable for any transcription occurred outside the library.

 HOW TO REGISTER FOR MEMBERSHIP:

1. Eligibility:

- Vietnamese residents who are 16 years of age or older.
- Foreigners 16 years of age or older who have their residency in Vietnam no less than 6 months
(Readers under the age of 16 who wish to apply for library membership card need to submit relevant identity paper such as passport or student identity card, or identity card of a legal guardian.)

2. Application procedures:

You need to fill in and submit a membership application form given by the library and attach the following materials:
- A copy of your ID card/ passport and certification on permanent residence (or relevant identity paper for readers who are under 16 years old as mentioned above)
* Please bring the Original ID card and passport along with
- 2 photographs (2x3cm) of the face (taken within 6 months up to date)

3. Membership fee:

-Management fee: 60,000VND / year (nonrefundable)
-Ensuring fee: 200,000VND (refundable)

4. Validity of membership:

Membership card is valid for 1 year, to continue using the library services, you need to renew your membership after the date of expiry, otherwise library shall delete the data from the membership system without prior notice, and you have to take the above mentioned application procedures again to be members.
- Fee for renewing library membership card: 60,000VND

5. Case of losing membership card:

- You should notice the librarian immediately to make the application procedures to be members again.
- Fee for re-application: 5000 VND/time
